I am a single mother to a teenage daughter, whom I love dearly.  I lead a hectic life, but on most days I love it :-).  If you were to visit my home, you would probably describe it as being "like a visit to the zoo" as I am the proud owner of a cat and a small parrot.  My day job, well, we'll leave that topic alone, but I will say that I really do enjoy that aspect of my life as well.  I have a BA in Health Care Administration and a MS in Management.  My profession is in research administration, which for me, consists of assisting medical professionals/scientists with their grant applications to both federal agencies and non-profit organizations. 

Both of my parents are living; I have two older sisters, and my 86 year-old grandmother and I have dinner dates several evenings per month.  Perhaps I will write about my dates with Gram on occasion, as they have a tendancy to be of high entertainment value to myself, gram, and I am sure to those around us.

I have been unemployed once in my lifetime.  This is NOT something I hope to go through again, but in these uncertain economic times, it's always a possibility.

On the lighter side of things, I have a very good sense of humor, well at least most of the time.  I have been referred to as the "queen of random thoughts" so I may treat you to my randomness from time-to-time.
